Why
WordCraft?
Our classes are kept intentionally small so that students can be properly seen, heard and guided. With an average of 4 students and a maximum of 6, we are able to notice learning gaps early, draw quieter students into discussion and give feedback that is specific and useful.
We do not believe strong English comes from memorising impressive phrases or using difficult vocabulary for the sake of it. Students make better progress when they understand what they are reading, know what they want to say, organise their thinking and express their ideas with clarity.
What We Teach.
English Language
For Secondary 1–4 (G3/G2) students who want to become clearer, more confident users of English, while building the skills needed for school and national assessments.
Students learn to:
-
read with understanding
-
write with purpose
-
use language accurately
-
speak and respond with confidence
Our English lessons build towards national examination readiness through progresive skill development from Secondary 1 to Secondary 4.
English Literature
For Lower and Upper Secondary students who need to move beyond plot summary, learn how to read closely, form their own interpretations and support their ideas with evidence.
Students learn to:
-
analyse character, theme, language and structure
-
choose evidence purposefully
-
write focused Literature responses
-
discuss and defend interpretations with confidence
Students learn how to build an interpretation and argument instead of memorising one.

Average 4. Maximum 6.
Small by Design
In a small group, teachers can notice misconceptions, ask better follow-up questions and give students more room to think aloud. Students also benefit from discussion and peer learning — something that is difficult to recreate in a purely one-to-one setting.
WordCraft gives students the attention of a small class without losing the energy of shared learning.
By our own founders.
Personally Taught
Classes are personally taught by Ms Phua and Ms Ong, ex-MOE educators who have taught English Language and Literature in Singapore schools.

“We want to know our students well enough to see what is holding them back — and what will help them move forward.”

A trial lesson gives your child the chance to experience our small-group teaching before deciding on the next step.
Your child is encouraged to bring his or her recent English or Literature work if available. After the lesson, we will share teacher feedback and suitable next-step guidance.
